JM Dance Center was founded in 2009 by Jennifer Munives, a dancer and teacher who graduated from the National Ballet School and the National Ballet of Cuba, one of the most prestigious ballets in the world.
A solid foundation in ballet and a deep passion for the art inspired Jennifer to create a ballet company through which she could use her knowledge to guide children from an early age on a path to ballet to empower our future generation.
For over 15 years, she has brought a ballet enrichment program to over 200 schools, including daycares, public, private and charter schools in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
The mission of the founder and owner of JM Dance Center is to discover and awaken children’s passion for dance and ballet to transform them into versatile and open-minded students capable of working inclusively, collaborating positively and evolving fluidly in a diverse and rapidly changing society.
We believe in the transformative power of dance to inspire positive change in our community and beyond. We step into the future, where our art breaks down barriers, opens minds, strengthens our connections with each other, and is shared more widely with everyone.
